When your vehicle is not in use, the Motion device goes into sleep mode. In sleep mode, the device only draws a very small amount of power from the battery to transmit periodic health checks.
If your vehicle will be parked for an extended period (such as several weeks), the device might accelerate ordinary battery drain on weaker or older batteries. If this is the case, you should unplug the device until you operate the vehicle again.
NOTE: One of the primary functions of the health check is to keep you updated on the health of your vehicle's battery, so if the battery is losing too much charge, the app will notify you of this situation.
